10:30 AM - ANGLIA IN BLOOM JUDGING DAY
The Judges from Anglia in Bloom will be in Clare on July 19th. You are welcome to join us for refreshments at 10.30 am. The Judges will be shown around Clare they will look at front gardens,hanging baskets and any containers outside properties as well as areas looked after by Clare in Bloom volunteers. We will be judged in three categories a) Horticultural Achievement b) Environmental Responsibility and c) Community Participation.

7:00 PM - PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Parish Council meetings take place on the third Thursday of every month in the Old School Community Centre. The Parish Council hold these meetings, where local issues are debated and decided upon, in public so all parishioners and members of the press are welcome to attend. Each meeting includes a 'Parishioners question time' where members of the public can have up to 3 minutes each to address Parish Councillors about any local issues that are important to them. Agendas are available prior to the meeting on noticeboards at The Old School and Pashlers Alley and from the Parish Clerk.

Bookings are now being taken for Strictly Stansfield at Stansfield Village Hall on Saturday 23 July and thanks to a £475 grant from the Open Weekend in Suffolk project, the charges are being kept to a minimum. During the afternoon, up to 20 couples will be taught by the county’s leading dance instructor, Adrian Mole, how to foxtrot and jive for just £7.50 each for adults and £6.00 for the under 14s. In the evening, there will be a barbecue and disco open to everyone and an opportunity to learn how to tango, for only £5.50 a head for adults and £3.50 for children - including the barbecue. There will also be a licensed bar. The format for the day is: 2.30pm Dancers arrive at Stansfield Village Hall 2.45pm Dance class: Feel your way through Foxtrot’ 3.45pm Break and refreshments 4pm Dance class: ‘Jittering Jive’ 5pm Break 6.30pm Evening entertainment begins with village barbecue 7.30pm Dance class for everyone – The Tango 8pm Dancing and partying 11pm End of evening.
