Clare Christmas Fair - 25/26th November at St.
Peter and St. Paul's Church.
The new Clare Christmas Fair presents the perfect opportunity
for you to do some of your Xmas shopping in the centre of town
without having to travel elsewhere on the Christmas Lights
Switch-On weekend!
Brought to you this year by the
Clare Community Association,
this quality event will showcase
a selection of gifts, decorations,
crafts and Christmas produce
all in the atmospheric candlelit
surroundings of the church.
You will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of something
warming to enjoy while you browse the stalls which will offer a
variety of goods including cashmere scarves and gloves,
jewellery, cakes, sweets, teas, chutneys and jams, dolls,
collectable teddies, pottery, turned wooden items, artwork,
candles, felted gifts and toys, cards, decorative and stained
glass and much, much more.… PLUS the chance to buy one - or
two! - items from the delicious new Clare festive pudding
range.
Other refreshments will be available and you will be able to sit,
relax and listen to some carols while your purchases are gift-
wrapped if you wish. There will also be the opportunity to buy
some raffle tickets: great prizes and all proceeds will go to help
maintain our lovely church.
With free admission this truly is an unmissable start to the
holiday season!

As you may be aware 1st Clare
Scout Group is desperate for
new leaders, particularly in
the Beaver section.
The situation in Beavers is
now critical. Ann is currently
the only Warranted Leader in
the Beaver Section and she
is retiring at Christmas.
There has been a Beaver Section in Clare since 2001 but if no
one comes forward to take over from Ann the Beaver Section
will close. Volunteering to be a Scout Leader is a very
rewarding experience, just ask any of our current leaders,
some of whom have been leaders for many years. All you need
is a few hours spare each week and occasionally at other times
when there are activities and special events. Training is free
and is done as you go along and there is always someone
around to support you as you train. You do not need any
experience, you do not need to be a parent, you do need to be
over 18. Everyone involved in the Scout Group has to be CRB
checked by the Scout Association.
PLEASE consider becoming a Leader. If you can’t then PLEASE
ask around your circle of friends and relatives.
If you can help, or you know someone who can, please contact
us by calling 01787277512 or emailing
