The Horseheath Country Fair, on Sunday 3

rd

 July, is a great day out for the

family and a wonderful opportunity to see many different rural sports and
activities. Spectators can meet horses, hounds, birds of prey and other ani-
mals in and around the show as well as help raise much needed funds for
the Sue Ryder Synergy Café in Haverhill which provides a relaxed and sup-
portive environment for people with dementia along with their family and
friends.

The Country Fair has something for everyone; a Family Dog Show, Terrier &
Lurcher Show and gun dog scurry, equestrian events and the East Anglian
Hound Show, hound parades, sheep dog and gun dog demonstrations, fal-
conry and heavy horses.  For the country sports enthusiasts there is a com-
petition clay shoot with 40-Bird Sporting Layout and 'High Gun' cash prize.
If you want to ‘have a go’ we have experts to guide you through the basics.
Trade stands, children’s attractions including donkey rides will all keep you
entertained throughout the day.

The Horseheath Country Fair is at Horseheath Racecourse, nr  Horseheath
(CB21 4QP) off the A1307 4 miles west of Haverhill. The gates open at 10am
and tickets are £6 for adults, children £3, under 5's get in free. Breakfast will
be served in the Tea Tent from 10am followed by tea and homemade cakes
throughout the day, licensed bar, BBQ and ice creams. Tickets only available
on the day.
