A look at the work of CLASP - Clare Liaison and Support Project
The organisation started in 1985 with the
Friendship Group and Car Aid and it has
developed over the years to add a Senior
Centre, and a Wednesday Lunch Club.
CLASP now provide Car Aid using volunteer
drivers, to take people to hospital appoint-
ments, a Friendship Team for those who
would like a visit and a minibus which is
used for their Wednesday Club. The mini-
bus is also available for hire for charitable
organizations, with trained drivers, and of
course for the CLASP Lunch Club.
CLASP fund-raise with Table Top Sales, held
at Clare Town Hall, and with an Autumn
Lunch, which they hold each year.
CLASP Events
We hold Wednesday Lunch Club every
Wednesday at Clare Old School Community
Centre which is open to Clare and the sur-
rounding villages. Why not come and join us
and make new friends. We supply a 3
course home-cooked seniors lunch at only
£5 per head. We are open from 10 - 3.15
Minibus lifts are available.
