I am sure I must have recommended this wine previously and I make no
apology for bringing it to your attention again! It is a brilliant Muscat
offering, that is absolutely perfect as an accompaniment to Christmas
pudding and any other sweet indulgences that you may make. The wine
comes from the foothills of the Pyrenees and is only justnotin France!
All of the above wines should be available from Nethergate wines and
I wish you all the very best for the festive season. Enjoy your Christmas. Dick.
A general rule is that dessert wine
should be sweeter than the food it is
served with.
In the category of classic dessert
wines you have a multitude of types,
styles and formats. The common
thread is that the fermentation
process was stopped, either
naturally or artificially, leaving
residual sweetness in the wine.
White dessert wines are generally
served somewhat chilled, but can
be easily served too cold.
Red dessert wines are served at room
temperature or slightly chilled.
