Essex Family Fun Weekend and Food Festival

A weekend of fun including Zorb Balls, Donkey Rides, Go Karts and many more.

Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival

Festival weekend will take place on the 26th & 27th September with fringe events running until 11th October.

Lavenham Farmers Market

, officially the best market in Suffolk, is held on the fourth Sunday of every month in Lavenham Village Hall.

The market boasts over 35 of the highest quality artisan producers in Suffolk & is well worth a monthly visit. Everything that is sold at the market
comes from within a 30 mile radius with traders travelling from Hadleigh, Sudbury, Woodbridge & Boxford.
The range of produce includes fresh fruit & vegetables, local bread, beef, pork, lamb & venison, home baked cakes & pies, local eggs, home
produced jams, pates & chutneys, fresh herbs, local sausages, homebaked chocolate brownies, Suffolk cheeses, smoked salami & olives, locally
roasted coffee, real ales & a lovely selection of plants & flowers.
All the food at the market is grown, baked, brewed and butchered by the person who is selling it so that you, the customer can find out
everything you want to know before you buy - there are no hidden surprises.

The fantastic kid friendly Farmers’ Cafe serves homemade soup, freshly baked quiche and cakes, Farmers’
Breakfasts & good quality coffee using local products direct from the market traders.

The Cambridge Food Garden & Produce Festival

Saturday September 19 2015 to Sunday September 20 2015

Set in the grounds of grassy Parker’s Piece, in the heart of the historic city, this free family-friendly event is a festival of all things food. Do you have
some lovely fruit and veg growing in your garden at home? Do you ever wish you had somewhere to show off your homemade goodies, and
maybe even win a prize? Well, this is your chance. The ever-popular produce tent at the annual Cambridge Food Garden & Produce Show is one of
the highlights of this annual event, and it’s the perfect place to show off your wares. There are plenty of prizes on offer for your scrumptious fruit,
veg, cakes and bakes – and children are encouraged to come and have a go, too. All you need to do is fill in the entry form on the website with the
classes you’d like to enter – it couldn’t be simpler. If you’re hoping to pick up some hints and tips this weekend, you’re in luck:

Sudbury Farmers Markets

was relaunched in May 2012 and is now one of the busiest town centre farmers markets in Suffolk. The market is

held on the last Friday of each month in St Peters, Market Hill right in the centre of town and is the perfect place to stock up on all your food
shopping. Sudbury Farmer's Market is a thriving, buzzing hub of activity with people queuing to buy John’s amazing vegetables even before the
doors properly open! Over thirty traders fill St Peter’s selling a fantastic range of the very best, fresh, local produce and a small selection of the
highest quality, hand produced crafts. Produce on offer each month includes fresh fish from Burwell,
local venison, pork & beef, home baked cakes, local honey, Suffolk mushrooms, Suffolk pies, freshly
baked bread, jams and chutneys and an amazing selection of locally grown fresh
Vegetables. There is a wonderful café available which is run by the Sudbury based charity,
The Bridge Project, that serves delicious scones, sandwiches and great coffee.

Autumn Food and Home Fair

This year’s Autumn Food and Home Fair is taking place at one of the more famous farmsteads the country has to offer. Cressing Temple and its
barns, which are tip-top examples of mediaeval Templar architecture, make for an apt setting in which for businesses to set up shop and sell their
quality foodstuffs. The cookery demonstrations that are planned to take place throughout the weekend, with MasterChef contestant Ondine Hart-
groves and TV personality Matt Tebbutt currently confirmed to take the helm of some of them, will also fit in well at this agricultural setting.
This being a food and home fair, there will also be a range of homeware and craft stalls to be perused, so, if you’re on the lookout for a particularly
special trinket to put in the home, then you’ll want to head here. Take the trip to Braintree or Witham – the fair is conveniently found an equal
